Lake Front Cottage Perfect for Fisherman, Birders, and Family Vacations.

A spectacular spot for fishing, bird watching, swimming, and enjoying the best of Lake Erie. The backyard faces a channel to Lake Erie where you can fish or end the evening on the deck watching the sun set over the lake. A few steps out the front door and you have access to a private beach for swimming.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full size hideaway sofa/bed, a three seasons room, washer/dryer, and an open floor plan living, dining, and kitchen area. We have a fire table and Adirondack seating to the backyard for viewing those perfect sunsets. We also have WIFI for those who need to stay connected and the home is handicap accessible so everyone is welcome to enjoy the getaway.

Our cottage is conveniently located next door to Locust Point Marina. They have daily and weekly dock and ramp passes available. We are just 10 minutes from Magee Marsh where spectacular bird watching can be seen. A 20 minute drive takes you to Port Clinton for dining, shopping, or a ferry trip over to the island Put-In-Bay. For the more adventurous Cedar Point, the roller coaster capital of the world is just 45 minutes away.

Perfect Home Base for Birding

Great location for birding at the preserves nearby, and it had all the amenities we needed: a dishwasher, electric kettle, all the kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, and plenty of places to snuggle up to read or watch the boats go by. We would stay here again.
All the kitchen gadgets and things you need, including plastic trays for kids.
Basics like sugar and salt.
Double doors to primary bath for accessibility.
Plenty of space to sit and enjoy company outside or in.

Great location for Magee Marsh birding

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage on the lake. The skies were incredible and it was a pleasure to sit outside or in the sun room in the evenings. The location was perfect to get to the birding hot spots during migration.

Fishing Dream Stay

You couldn't ask to be closer to the lake! The 3 season room overlooking the lake was amazing, you could even open the screens and have full views and fresh air! We got to watch all the boats coming in and heading out, the house was clean and well stocked.

Highly satisfied

Third year staying here. Ours is mainly a fishing vacation so the access to fishing is great. The house is always very clean and is nicely furnished. Will be back again next year.

Loved this spot

We were in town for birding and this home was an ideal location to all of the great north OH birding spots. Plus we got some great shots from the patio each AM. Not luxurious, the home met all of our fairly basic needs and was very quiet. Would recommend and would rent again.

Great Place on the Lake

We came here for the 2024 eclipse. Great location! You can fish right off the pier and walk to the sand beach. Beautiful sunset. Everything was clean and well maintained. Place is close to good restaurants, hikes and tourist destinations.

Lovely lake spot

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend last October for his 25th birthday. We enjoyed the peacefully quiet neighborhood during the off-season. Great views of the lake, and the home was very open and clean! I can only imagine how nice it is during the summer!

Very clean, very quiet and fully stocked! View of the lake can’t be beat. We fished, beached, found some beach glass. Great restaurants in Port Clinton. And the wineries and breweries in Catawba. Will return!

Sister get away

We had a great time. The inside of the house was clean and organized. The outside of the house could use a good power washing. The sun room was our favorite room in the house. Watching the sunset from the sun room was something we never missed. It was overall a very relaxing trip.

This was a getaway many years in the making, and we're so thankful we found this place to make that possible! It was quiet, peaceful, and had a beautiful vantage point from which we could appreciate the expanse of Lake Erie. The house was stocked with all the comforts of home and a lot of fun board game options for the family in the event of inclement weather. All the sites we planned to visit were within easily drivable distance, usually 30-40 minutes. Sunrises and sunsets in the back room were the perfect view to start and end each day. We absolutely fell in love with this location and we will be thinking about our time here for years to come!
