Yes, the house is directly on the water, no other property separates you from Lake Erie. There is a hill that was built 30 years ago to prevent the peninsula from flooding, so you must walk up a hill located 40 foot out the back door to see the water. Can you swim, is there a beach? While I don't recommend swimming, you can. It is very rocky beach out back. Some people have brought kayaks to launch and have had no issues. Is there room to park my boat? Can I fish? You can fish out back, pick your lucky spot on the rocks and cast a line! There is room for boat parking, I will just need a heads up. I was thinking it was a short walk to the beach. You had to climb a long set of steps. Then a hill and down a bank. To get a good view of the lake you had to go into the neighbors yard. She has dogs so we ended up stepping in their waste. We wasn't told that even though we were charged 80 for room cleaning. We still needed to wash our own towels and sheets before we left. Mostly I wanted to be on the water & the lake was right out the back door. You can’t see the lake from indoors which is really the only disappointment. Climb up 14 steps (cautiously) & you are lakeside. There is a place to make a fire on the hill or on a little peninsula with a shelter (‘cabana,) on it below that appears sometimes might be a boat launch, but it’s overgrown. Quiet. Only saw a couple neighbor kids. Did see a pair of eagles that live nearby someplace! Don’t forget to see the sunset at Webbers restaurant, a family tradition!! It was a very clean and well stocked home. Shower is amazing! Boys enjoyed fishing out back off the rocks. Communication was excellent. One bedroom tv didnt work, but we were there to enjoy the outside, so didn't impact us. If had to nit pick, the couches, beds, and pillows aren't the most comfortable. ##### Jennifer C. This was very close to family we were visiting so great location for us. Only complaint we have is the couch was falling apart.
