"Excellent location! Close to a large variety of restaurants, shops and, of course, the pier. 5 min walk to Seabus terminal. 5 min walk to IGA when I wanted milk and yogurt. Best gym facilities, and swimming pool of all the hotels I’ve ever been in. Just being able to use the pool and gym made staying at the hotel worthwhile for me. Friendly reception, fast check in and out. Housekeeping staff are attentive to details. Room I was in didn’t have USB port for charging, so bring your own adapter. "

"Loved this suite. Was absolutely beautiful - the most beautiful and clean suite I have stayed in! It had everything I could have needed and then some! The bed was DIVINE. I didn't want to get up :) Loved the privacy. Frances was lovely to communicate with. Very pleasant and helpful. The area is perfect. Easy parking. I just adored the trees surrounding the property. "This was my first time using VRBO and I have to say I was really impressed with the accuracy of the listing and accountability of the host - she was communicative, positive and a pleasure to deal with. The lane home being very clean and welcoming, a bit on the older side but very cozy and warm (North Van can get cold at night) not to mention being able to have my dog there with me with zero fuss from the host. Just an all round terrific experience which I will definitely repeat if the need arises. Thank you!"

"We spent 3 nights at Howie’s Retreat. He is a marvellous host. Warm, welcoming and personable. The unit itself is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is not a single thing that Howie has not provided for your comfort. If it isn’t there, you don’t need it. If anything isn’t right, he will go out of his way to fix it in a timely manner. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely too. A real home away from home. A perfect little nest for when you are not out exploring the area. Great place, great guy!"
