"Quirky place with interesting rooms and friendly owner. Need to climb about 15 steps to get to our 2nd floor room. Easy parking and close to Joe's Diner for breakfast It would have been nice to have a muffin or Danish available so this is not a b&b , there is no breakfast. It's pricing is comparable to other Stratford properties in September, and if one is reasonably mobile, it is walking distance to downtown and the Avon Theatre, a bit more of a hike to the Festival Theatre. We would stay here again."

"An exceptional experience! We just stayed at Bentley's for two nights while in town for the Stratford Festival and some local shopping and sight-seeing. We couldn't stop talking about how great it was: the location is right in the middle of everything but we didn't hear ANY noise from the bar/resto, the street or the folks staying next door. The room had a lovely layout over two floors and just the amenities we needed -- we could have comfortably stayed here for a week or two easily. The staff were awesome: very helpful/accommodating with parking. The room was clean (and cleaned) and renovated recently so felt nice and crisp. And we had a lovely late-night meal at the restaurant the first night which was perfect, we just crawled upstairs afterward. We'll be recommending it to our friends and definitely plan to stay next time we have an itch for world-class Shakespeare."

"So we ended up in the Corner King room which I do recommend because it's isolated on the 3rd floor sort of away from noise and also with nobody above us or around us. AC was fine but wasn't well placed in the room. It was right in front of the window which was strange. Front desk was fine and pretty efficient with check-in and explaining the process. The room was pretty good but doesn't have any extras."

"Bruce the owner met us to help with luggage up the long single flight of indoor stairs leading to our apt, on second floor. There is no elevator. AC is portable, stationed in LR, but not helpful for bedroom spaces. We also inquired about better air flow at night while sleeping and he brought a fan for each bedroom. There were plenty of pillows and bathroom towels. Super shower! Nice stove and fridge and dining table and couch. No closet in one bedroom but over a dozen hallway hooks where we hung everything, like umbrellas, coats, dresses (plenty of hangers), tote bags to keep them off the floor and other surfaces. Apt above a coffee shop and a quiet bar that the owner suggested. Couch was most comfy but side chairs needed a wall behind them to keep cushions from sliding onto floor if you leaned back. Parking only for 4 hotel guests, so weekends, during busy play season means you need to expect to find free parking on one of the streets hotel suggests upon receipt of check-in instructions."
