Well located in the French Quarter, five minute walk from Jackson Square, and two blocks away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. Recently updated, this hotel met all of our needs. Minor detail- the luggage cart was inadequate and needs to be replaced. The hotel confirmed that it was on back order.

Room size and shared balcony was great. The automatic fan in the bathroom is just annoying in the middle of the night. Staff WONDERFUL!

I love this hotel! It's the best one in the area and the only one we stay at now. It keeps getting better every time the we visit. The beds are great and the rooms are very nice. I love to look and feel of the hotel and the people are very nice. They have made several upgrades since the last time we stayed which made this experience even better than the last. I would highly recommend this hotel when you come to visit New Orleans.

The hotel has been renovated and while it is fresh and clean, it lacks the charm pre-reno. This isn’t a deal breaker but the lack of carpets make the hotel loud and echoey. The doors to the room and the bathroom were not hung properly. Bathroom door didn’t close properly and you could see light from hallway from room door. The tv was difficult to use. We couldn’t turn it off completely and the volume was either loud or off. We had obnoxious neighbors who were loud and we could hear everything they were saying and what they were watching. Also, the safe didn’t work. We put a request in on the 1st day to have it fixed. We stayed for 7 nights and it was never fixed. I would consider staying there again but they aren’t my 1st choice,

My husband and I have long loved Le Richelieu, and this was our first time since renovations. The hotel looks very nice, and the staff was everything wonderful. I miss the bar/restaurant, which is scheduled to reopen later. I’ve always appreciated the on site, gated parking, too. Again, very nice people!

Staff was excellent, our room was large and comfortable and the location was ideal for our purposes. The only issue we had was noisy neighbors in the next room. The sound insulation was not sufficient to mitigate the noise.

Overall we were expecting just a bit more elegance in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a decent size. The staff were all very helpful and the Envie Coffee shop around the corner was a great place to meet and mingle with the locals.

A small lovely older property on the quiet edge of the French quarter. It was very centrally located. Just a few blocks away from the French market as well as restaurants and bars as well as Bourbon Street. Close to the action but far enough away to not be disturbed by the partying. Their ads state that there is a restaurant and bar both of which were not operationa. . Stafl,so no room service

Le Richelieu is a great hotel near the Esplanade, friendly staff, and close to Frenchman St. and the Jazz Museum. Cafe Amelie has fabulous brunch nearby (get a reservation), Verti Marte is a couple blocks away, and Zhang Bistro has some amazing fusion eats. We enjoyed the charming building and the balcony. We even watched a 2nd Line marching band parade from the balcony! NOLA is a magical place, staying at Le Richelieu elevates the experience.

Our favorite place to stay in NO. Simple, no frills but superior location, terrific staff, very nice bedding, not noisy, quick walk to Frenchman Street for the best music in the city. We love the LeRichelieu!

Solid choice in the Quarter.
This is a good choice if you want to be near Frenchman St. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are big and clean. They need to add mini fridges to the rooms.

The new facility lacks the old character of the old facility. Rooms lack furniture and microwave. was not notified bar and restaurant not available. Just felt I was at a Discount type hotel. Do not like how the hotel handles money. The holding of the $50. perday extra did not make since to me. If u want more money per day put it in the rate. I have over 20 plus of history there and this first time I felt was in the wrong place. Not impressed with new owners.

A favorite hotel recently reopened with a much needed upgrade. All rooms updated and modern, but the hotel itself maintained that old NOLA feel. Restuarant and Bar were not yet open, and the pool area needs some TLC. Staff were great, location is perfect, very quiet area and only blocks from Frenchmen Street where all the best music plays.

Lovely stay
We enjoyed our stay at Le Richelieu. The hotel is a short walk from the French Quarter and just a block away from a coffee shop. We reserved a balcony room (which is a shared balcony) and we enjoyed having the option to sit outside. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. One thing to note is if you want to try checking in early it’s a $25 charge. Overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return!
