A beautifully renovated hotel that offers guests a relaxing, luxurious stay. Definitely a cut above the rest.

Newly renovated, fantastic group DS and beach

Posted 1-Jan-2017
Pros: Staff was great. Close to several restaurants.
Cons: HVAC in room was noisy. For a recently redone hotel this is a shame. Internet connection is weak a d constantly going down. Their restaurant is OK.
Location: Marco island is not a shopping mecca. There are several good restaurants within walking distance.. Beach is great.
Easy to check-in. Service is outstanding. It is expensive so one should know that going in. We had a beach view room, from what I could see the non view rooms would be a poor choice.

Nice Hotel, Too Bad About Undisclosed Construction

Posted 27-Dec-2016
Pros: Rooms were decent and the staff was friendly.
Cons: The construction during the week leading up to Christmas which should have been completed one month ago.
Hotel is decent and is right on the beach of Marco Island. We were looking for a relaxing hotel and we thought that was what we were receiving. However, each day during out stay at the hotel we were greeted by the sounds of construction between 7 - 7:30 am each day. I wouldn't have minded this if I were on a business trip because I would have already awaken well in advance. In this instance though my family was looking for some quiet, restful days at the beach to get the batteries recharged after a very busy 2016. Each morning it was a symphony of pounding hammers and metal on metal grinding at the crack of dawn. It was especially enjoyable when we finally made it to our room at 2 am in the morning on our first night due to travel only to be awaken at 7 am to the sounds of a banging and pounding. It was also a real treat when the hot tub next to the pool was out of operation. I blame the hotel somewhat but mostly Expedia for the lack of notification that the hotel was under construction during the week leading up to Christmas. I will never use Expedia again because I can get the same prices elsewhere and will most likely choose the Marriott when staying at Marco Island in the future.

Great location

Posted 27-Dec-2016
Although it was meant to be completed still under construction. It will be beautiful, but workers EVERYWHERE. Drilling in the room above us before 8am. Not a relaxing situation.

Marco Island Hilton on the beach

Posted 21-Dec-2016
The hotel is right on the beach. Beautiful location and gorgeous pool. The hotel is being remodeled - so right now is rather plain decor wise. I am sure it will be beautiful when completed. Rooms were nice (pre remodel) but nothing extraordinary. We did have a fire alarm snafoo that sent hundreds of guests into the lobby at 8:30 am. Not pleasant for most but we were checking out and on our way out

Nice hotel close to the beach.

Posted 18-Dec-2016
Pros: Beach access and nice views.
Cons: They charge you $15 per day to self park when rooms run $300+ a night. Charge less for drinks and you may sell more. $12 for a Crown and $6 for beer?
Location: Shopping, food, and beverages just across the street. Hotel itself sat in a very good location. Beach was nice and access to beach was convenient.
Our room was fine, but the telephone did not work. They said it was a problem with the phone company. They were in the process of remodeling, so ice makers were not operational. They did bring you ice when you asked for some, but since we had no phone, it made it a little harder. Also, they had problems with their television provider. Kept cutting out and was frustrating in the evening when you wanted to relax and watch a game. Food and drink were pricy, but that goes with the closeness to the beach and beautiful sunsets. We did have a good time, but may need to find something a little more reasonable next time we visit Marco Island.

4 Day Stay at the Hilton on Marco Island

Posted 17-Dec-2016
Pros: The Lobby and pool area remodeling seem very nice.
Cons: Food menu's and overall offering. Facility accessories ATM and Ice Machines would be nice. An poolside outdoor bar.
Location: Parting was very poor. Often only a signal open space was available.
Very disappointing overall. Arrived to find that the hotel was still undergoing renovations. Stayed on the 9th floor which had sections of the floor cordoned off with workers present all day into the night. There was no ice machine on the floor so had to call the front desk for ice which often took very long time to arrive. Also, the facility had no ATM on sight. We had to use the 711 store down the street to get cash. The worse part of the whole stay was the extremely poor Bar and Restaurant Menu's. They charged exorbitant prices for an exceedingly poor selection. The only menu that offered any normal edible selections was the morning breakfast and that was not very robust either. We were forced to seek other accommodations for lunch and dinner each day we stayed. The bar tenders were pleasant and attentive but the new bar layout had half of the bar open to the pool area on 2 sides and the other portion of the bar residing inside the new restaurant area. It was cool and windy several days which made the inside restaurant and bar too cool to enjoy. The new renovation project removed an outside bar area separate from the hotel building and restaurant. This did not improve the facility. Between the poorly architected improvements of the bars/restaurants along with a totally objectionable menu offering, I will not plan on returning to the Hilton again. I have stayed at this facility at least 4 other times in the past.

Perfect location to enjoy the beach! White sand!

Posted 15-Dec-2016
Pros: The hotel had best views for their strategically placed angled balconies with clean views of ocean & the island. Loved pool, open 560 bar, & beach.
Cons: It was still under construction with renovations underway, but have to admit the workers were relatively quiet and were working on room next to ours.
Location: We loved walking across the street and enjoying the movie theater, ice cream, souvenir shops, & walked 2 miles for Joey's Italian eatery.
We loved this hotel, but there were a lot more "al a cart" things that would have to be purchased to enjoy all the amenities. Parking was charged daily, there were jet ski's, kayaks, surf board, sail boats available, but all at a fee. When I looked into what hotel we wanted to stay at, those are what separated this one from the others, but I didn't realize they were not included. Breakfast buffet was $23 pp, but we opted for the cheaper entrees which were delicious!

Winter Break

Posted 15-Dec-2016
Pros: The staff was wonderful!
Cons: Do not accept reservations in a construction zone. In addition, the workmanship in the rooms is less than average and certainly not acceptable.
Location: Marco Island is a great place to visit!
The hotel was in process of completing construction during our stay. We were placed in the middle of the construction where workers were outside of your door all day and the noise left us with no choice but to stay away from the room during the day. I conveyed this concern with the staff and they apologized for the inconvenience.
