"We visited low season but for us it was perfect. We stayed 5 nights, mid. June. The staff were wonderfully friendly and polite. Whilst part of the hotel was closed, junior suite, for renovation it did not affect us in any way. The weather was just right to, Not too hot or wet. Rain came late afternoon in the form of a sprinkle twice and overnight once but nothing much. We were lucky I'm sure but I think it's the right time of year to go, any other must get unbelievable hot. Mandalay was 40 ish...

A massage at the spa was worth every penny. Food was delicious and varied. Attention to detail second to none. "Suggest to get the higher priced room. Clean room, water pressure is a bit low, may be to reserve water. You don't have to go around town to taste Burmese daily breakfast. A very good one is included in your stay. No swimming pool or spa at the hotel, but a good standard sauna. "

"I loved the unique decoration styles throughout the lounges—they give the place a luxurious charm. The rooms are very clean, but the building itself feels older and could use some updates. The staff were wonderful: friendly, pleasant, and never intrusive. My favorite part was the swimming pool. With palm trees all around and the gym close by, it felt like stepping into a tropical forest from a distant era, complete with antique touches in the design. Breakfast offered a few Burmese dishes, though I wish there were more choices."
