Our stay was more than ever expected! All the staff was so helpful, friendly and did everything to try and make our stay wonderful. Our beach front bungalow was amazing. Just a few steps and we were on the beautiful sandy beach. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful setting with fantastic staff. Felt really cherished in this lovely hotel on an amazing beach. We were a little disappointed with our seaview room. The view was rather restricted by the roof of a beachfront bungalow and the palm trees. The bathroom was also rather basic and could do with a makeover. Ask for a middle room. I think they end in a 2. If possible splash out on a beach front room where you have unrestricted view and can enjoy the sunset from your own terrace. The resort is all about the beach and backed by excellent service levels and attentive staff. I stayed in one of the beach front villas where the beach is only 4ft away. It was great for relaxing and gaining some privacy. Top quality hotel starting with the staff that is ultra attentive, polite and ready to help. Airport shuttle very useful. The location is just perfect right in the middle of the beach with great sand area (much better than Hilton and others). We are also way more isolated. Rooms are great, spacious and with a great sea view. Swimming pool is really nice and there's happy hour at 12h with free drinks - very cool. Breakfast is à la carte with a great selection of natural juices, pancakes, eggs, bread, fruit, everything you expect of a great first meal of the day. Do try the Hotel restaurant - absolutely superb menu with plenty of local food and international - we had 6 meals there and they were all second to none. The tomato and cheese pizza is delicious. The chef and kitchen are highly skilled and the waiters are just perfect - attention to every detail without bothering you almost reading your mind. A great stay, perfect hotel. Good food in restaurant. Room v close to beach - plenty of sunloungers and free towels. Not too may rooms in the hotel so the beach wasn't crowded at all. Free pickup from Thandwe airport is useful (hotel v close). Just watch out if flying out of Thandwe airport - the hotel porter service drops you off at the airport and ushers you into the airport lobby - your luggage will be magically whisked in for you over the v short 50 metres from the car to the airport after which the airport porters will charge you for doing this.
