"We loved our stay here. Villas El Encanto is located in a quiet residential area with lots of lovely bakery and breakfast options nearby. Our accommodation was excellent. 5 of us (incl 3 teenagers) stayed in a very cool and comfortable family cabin with filtered water and a fully equipped kitchen area. We enjoyed the pool area as well as the pretty garden. Thank you so much for a lovely stay - the kids were very sad to say goodbye to the dogs :-)"

Location is a little away from downtown which we found to be more quiet. Felt safe walking around even at night. There are several great food options within a few blocks. "Wonderful resort! The food was great with many hits and only a few misses. Not sure why the reviews on food are so negative... Most of our meals were really good. The resort is clean and the rooms spacious. The private beach is huge and there is great snorkeling right off shore. It's located about 15-20 minutes south of town, so bring cab fare - about $20 USD each way. There is a Jeep rental place across the street to self tour the island but STAY AWAY from any tequila tasting, it's a total scam!"
