![AKA The Donnelly House

John P. Donnelly came to Mount Dora in 1879 from Pittsburgh, PA. He married Annie McDonald Stone in 1881 and built this Queen Anne style house in 1893 as a gift to her. He was among the founders of the local yacht club, and served as the city´s first mayor in 1910. The Donnelly House, now owned by Mount Dora Lodge #238, F&AM, was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1975.

« Bâtiment historique à l'emplacement idéal au bord du lac et à deux pas du centre ville. Difficultés au check in : la chambre réservée a été échangée contre une chambre bas de gamme en mauvais état. Il a fallu réclamer pour avoir la chambre payée. L'hôtel est ancien et pas en très bon état. Service lent et laborieux au bar. Café offert le matin dans le lobby. Piscine non chauffée donc pas utilisable. »

« We really had a great visit in Mount Dora. The Heirloom Inn was quaint. It was located conveniently to everything downtown. The car stayed parked on premises until it was time to leave. When we arrived at approximately 3:00pm there was someone from housekeeping there that was very nice. She made sure everything was good. Overall great stay! »

« We have stayed in many rental units, but the property was by far the best. The host's attention to detail was incredible. The unit is tastefully decorated and updated to the highest standards. It would be difficult to find something better than this. Our compliments to the host. It is an easy walk to downtown Mount Dora and just a few steps from Tony's Chowder House and their award winning clam chowder. Great place, great town and a great stay. »

« Donna was awesome with communicating in a prompt manner, especially when we were trying to find a place that would allow our two dogs. We were thoroughly surprised by the Mr. Dora area! The downtown area had pickleball courts, boutiques, small business restaurants, and a nice view of the water if you are looking for a waterfront run or view of the sunrise/sunset. The backyard was big enough for two dogs and you can tell she had put a lot of effort in making it a welcoming environment. The drive...

« Unique property with very large outdoor area. Pups could run and play with no rear neighbors. Nice fire pit for cool night fires. "Tiki" was exactly as advertised with everything you need for a week's stay. Location was perfect as it is only a 5 minute drive / Uber from downtown. »
