"Our stay was very pleasant. We are locals from Sarasota and were in St.Pete for a concert. The property was built in 1930’s, which is noted on their website, so take into consideration in reference to some amenities. They’ve done a great job at upgrading & offering different amenities to make your stay very enjoyable. They’ve added several guest accommodations at no charge, such as happy hours, bottle water, coffee, a free shuttle, free self parking. Front desk staff were always friendly and very helpful. Because the hotel is an older building, rooms are smaller, but again hotel is very transparent in description. Location is very convenient for all downtown activities, restaurants, shopping. We walked everywhere. We will stay again in future & would recommend the hotel for your stay."

"We had to wait outside the office for almost 10 minutes because the manager was sleeping in one of the rooms. The room was dirty. The sheets had stains, there were used towels left in the bathroom. The A/C unit was set on warm/fan so the room was nasty hot. My husband opened the fridge and cockroaches were running inside. Would definitely not stay here again."

"Old property with lots of charm. Bed is comfortable, shower good. Innkeepers friendly and helpful. Adequate breakfast and happy hour beverages provide opportunity to chat with other guests from US and Europe. Lots of museums, restaurants, coffee shops and bookstores within easy walking distance (less than a mile). Will definitely come back. "

"We had a great view of Tropicana field and the business district from our 7th floor balcony. It is a very short walk to there as well."

"Parking is VERY problematic. There is no on-site parking. Their ‘onsite’ parking is several blocks away in a public garage. You will need to roll your suitcase several city blocks and anytime you go out, be prepared to walk back and forth. Getting back from a function and walking through the city at 1am alone was not something I would have willingly signed up for. I will never stay at this hotel for this reason alone. I can see how this would be a huge issue for older people or people with mobility issues. One night of parking cost me $25 and the next was $38. Definitely false advertising or twisting it at the least. Only redeeming factor is the location is great. Lots of restaurants and shops but not enough for me to recommend this spot to anyone. "

"The hotel is always hopping with people by the pool, lobby and restaurant. It has a great energy level. The food is delicious. Many locals eat here. The hotel is clean. Staff is friendly. FREE parking. It is my favorite hotel in St Petersburg."

"We stayed in the new annex part of the hotel. The room was nice and clean. The bed was a little hard and the shower water only got warm not hot. The fifth floor roof top was beautiful and relaxing."

"I recently stayed at Staybridge Suites St. Petersburg Downtown and had a disappointing experience. Check in was at 4 pm, but when we arrived at 4:10, one of our two rooms was still not ready. No one informed us when it became available, we had to follow up ourselves. The staff overall were rude and unhelpful. One room faced the highway, making it very noisy at night, and the smoke alarm kept beeping. Calls to the front desk went unanswered. The next day, we were told room service required 24 hours notice, which was never mentioned. Even for fresh towels, we had to go collect them ourselves. Parking was limited and inconvenient. Breakfast was very poor, with limited options and low quality. Overall, not a pleasant stay. We will not return and will stick with more reliable brands like Hilton and Marriott."
