« First room smelled very musty with a sweet scent on top of it (I assume to mask the odor). Asked to switch rooms. The desk staff were very accommodating and the second room was fine. Furniture, carpet, etc. are in need of refurbishing and there are no amenities of the type that you expect from a Hilton hotel. A problem because the room charge was $345 for one night plus $45 for valet parking (no self parking on the premises). The hotel is very very well situated for walking to many...

« This is the worst property I have stayed at in my 60 years of traveling. Dirty, no amenities. sight states there is wi-fi which there wasn't - staff even said so. I do my business on the internet so I was shut out. I had paid for 3 nights - left after one. Property manager refussed to credit me for the 2 nights I stayed there. Also, it was not an Econo Lodge, it was a Budget Inn. Very dissatisfied!!! »

![Aviation history was made in St. Petersburg    On January 1, 1914 when the first commercial airline took off from St. Petersburg and landed to a crowd of over 3000 in Tampa.
Tony Jannus flew the Benoist watercraft 25 minutes to Tampa. A replica of the Benoist that was flown on 75th anniversary hangs from the ceiling. Me. Janus was killed 1916 in Germany while teaching two pilots. The Tony Jannus award is given out every year to recognize the most outstanding person in commercial aviation.

The Museum also has Schader's Little Cooperstown, the world largest collection of autographed baseballs that is in the Guinness Book of Worlds Records at more 5000.
