"We had a fantastic family stay at Bernard’s Landing. The condo was clean, comfortable, quiet, and a great home base for exploring Smith Mountain Lake. The location was the biggest highlight. We enjoyed the private lakeside beach, pools, walking paths, waterfront views, and beautiful sunsets without needing to drive everywhere. We rented a pontoon from The Dock at Smith Mountain Lake and spent a full day boating, tubing, swimming, and relaxing on the water. We also visited Smith Mountain Lake State Park, stopped at Smith Mountain Lake Coffee House, and spent an evening at Bridgewater Plaza where we ate at Mango’s, played mini golf, visited the arcade, and walked around the shops. We also had dinner at Napoli by the Lake right at Bernard’s Landing. We traveled with three kids ages 5–12, and there was something for everyone. We originally planned another excursion but ended up spending more time at the resort because the kids were having such a great time. Overall, this was a great family-friendly place to stay with easy lake access, nice amenities, and plenty to do nearby. We would absolutely consider staying here again."

"The house was Wounderful. Stayed comfortably with 16 people with very spacious bedrooms. We appreciate the cleanliness of the home. Host communicated information and helped to change the week we were staying. Kids enjoyed hot tub and pool. Fantastic views of the lake from the back bedrooms and pool. We were able to easily get boat and jet skis to pier, even with low water levels. Would definitely recommend."

"Sadly, the lake was very low this year. It made getting in and out to swim a bit more challenging. We also decided to rent a smaller boat to enable easier docking. We eat-in most meals, and found the kitchen and grills to be great! The whole house was well stocked, including the dock shed. The lower part of the hill drive had some deep ruts. It would be nice to have them scraped flatter. The owners were very responsive to messages before and during our trip. All in all, it was still a great family vacation!"

"This house is such a wonderful spot. The rooms are perfect for lots of guests to all have their own space. Adult rooms are plenty far away from the kids' ! :D The cove that it is in is perfect for swimming and boating out of. The porch has a huge table for dinners which was perfect. This is an older house and the pictures show that. There is some maintenance that could be done to the stairs and such. However, everything is very comfortable and clean and well equipped.A note about the water level, as we were nervous checking in. The dock is not able to be used for boat tie up. We just beached our boat and that worked perfectly ... actually way easier than docking anyway. For swimming, the beaches work perfectly as well. So there was really nothing to worry about and I would/will book this place again even with the low water level."
