The cabin is extremely well laid out, clean with quality throughout. My wife and I enjoyed hiking on the private 3 mile trail, seeing the grapes up close and from the cabin. The area is completely secluded and private with the exception of deer, fireflies, bluebirds and rabbits. The outdoor amenities were great and we used the grill for dinners we enjoyed on the patio. The hosts make the cabin the perfect getaway. We have the luxury of feeling completely away from the rest of the world, hiking the trails at the cabin and taking in the incredible views; but also close enough to go explore orchards, have BBQ at a local brewery, or visit one of the local wineries or cideries that are nearby if we prefer. From this location we can go to the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking or Smith Mountain Lake, Bedford, and it isn't far from Roanoke where we visit friends.We just learned that Roanoke has a hockey team so our next visit may include a hockey game. With a 65 pound and 75 pound boxers in the bed with us, we had plenty of room. We slept so good. The extra touches like breakfast items, frozen pizza and treats for us and the dogs were an added bonus. Will definitely be back for a longer stay! We’ve stayed in many condos, cabins, etc. But this one takes the cake for being spotless, beautiful, comfortable, perfectly appointed, endearing and like new. We had not thought we would necessarily want to visit this area for a “getaway” but we will likely return. We enjoyed every trail we could find on the property. Saw many deer including a fawn. It was just fantastic. Thanks so much for having us Melissa. My one piece of advice, read Melssa’s directions instead of following your GPS. The crazy road over the mountain from 81S that your GPS will take you on is NOT a drive that you will ever want to repeat. ##### Karen S.
