Moneenally Vacation Packages

Stayed at the Westwood for a week while attending a conference at the University of Galway. I've not complaints about the place or the staff. Indeed, I quite enjoyed my stay there and would certainly consider staying there again. This said, there are two things I wish I had known about before deciding to stay there: (1) Unless you have your own vehicle, you're largely dependent on bus 404 or taxi to get to/from the city centre (it's a good 50-60min walk each way); and (2) there's no food/drink options in the immediate vicinity by other than a Spar. This said, the food at Kelehan's Bar & Restaurant, which is about 1.5km further up the N59, is superb; as are the pints.

It was good and we enjoyed our stay

Excellent stay at the hotel just outside of Galway city. Very helpful staff, modern and clean room with air conditioning which was great as the weather was warm and humid. Nice included breakfast with our room including a tasty continental selection as well as a cooked breakfast in addition. Excellent location for a day trip to the Aran Islands with the ferry terminal less than 30 minutes away. Very helpful staff - we were impressed that they express posted my brother's airpods to our next hotel free of charge when he accidentally left them in the room when we checked out. Would stay here again, great hotel!

The Harbour Hotel was reasonably located but very noisy. The doors would close with a bang, your neighbors will prove it all hours of the night. There was also city noise. We knew before we got there it was a hit or miss. We would not have chosen it in forethought. The front desk was very good, the breakfast buffet was well represented and clean. Our room was on the top floor, the angle of the roof interfered with our full use of the room, the bathroom was small and clean. Towels and sheets - not bad, pretty good actually. Parking was 13 euros a day and was well worth it.

A few items: They double booked me for two rooms. Th ere was no place to put luggage. HAd to leave it open on the floor. A luggage rack would bee nice. The first room was too small. No space for two people traveling. They upgraded us to a handicapped accessible room with more room. However, the shower design made the water run onto the floor and out of the bathroom into the hallway. We cleaned it up with our towels and had to order more. When they delivered the towels, they did not take away the old wet ones. Lastly, there were only two pillows and no bed sheets. I will not recommend them.
