They stretch a few hundred feet wide! Slowly cascading down a side of a rock faced wall. It is a short but tenuous hike to see the falls. But, they are some of the best you can see in the south east. Maybe not the tallest or most water flowing, but it is a beautiful, slow, and pooling fall. As an added bonus the river it flows into is controlled by a dam, so you can at times get up to the waterfall, and at other times raft the river which I'm guessing is a class 3-4. Even brought me a pair of rain boots because I was interested in going down by the river. The shower door kept coming off the track and would get the bathroom floor wet each time we showered. The walls separating the rooms were very thin. We could hear the neighbors conversations, coughing, and everything else (If you know what I mean).
