The location was excellent and the view of Lake Geneva. Close to good shopping and Train Station.

The room was clean the staff were very nice and kind. Maybe I am used to US hotel services but it felt very customized and catered to us. You can see the Matterhorn from the room if you book the mountain view room. it's mostly the top of the mountain. You can actually see it better if you walk out towards the bus station. The food was great. Really delicious. The breakfast buffet was amazing too and you can get fresh squeezed orange juice and egg dishes made to order. I highly recommend this hotel even though it's a 10-15 minute bus ride to get there. They have shuttle service from the train station on check in / check out days. On your way up to the hotel if you walk, you have a beautiful view of the Matterhorn.

We stayed in the newly renovated building. It echos throughout as its concrete. The blinds are not blackout and let light in. So if you need to sleep wear a mask and earplugs. The room was well appointed and beautifully designed.

As a fan of Freddie, a stay at The Freddie Mercury when in Montreux is a must. It's campy, and fun and you can't not smile in the public areas. As a rather fussy hotel guest, I had no real issues. There isn't air conditioning, but there is some air circulation. The rooms are basic, but how much time do you plan on spending in there? The bed is super comfortable, the breakfast is reasonable for the price (on demand omelettes and lots of variety). It was clean enough, though there is some wear starting to show. The staff was very helpful. Most of all, the location is amazing and on the train station platform (you can hear the trains from your room if you're on that side, but it's a soft/gentle woosh every now and then). I'm so glad I stayed there. Thank you!
