"The staff was very friendly. If you needed anything, they were always there to help. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool was great. A quiet area, yet close to the beach—an ideal location."

"We had an amazing time everything from the transfers to and from the airport to the hotel, to the hotel itself just couldn’t fault anything. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and they were so friendly.
This was the first time going all inclusive we couldn’t have chosen a better place the food was so nice and so much choice.
The hotel was very clean and tidy the grounds were well maintained. We will be staying here again in the future."

"Das Hotel ist eigentlich ein Traum. Die Zimmer sehr sauber, dafür alles andere nicht so. Hier dürfte etwas mehr gemacht werden. Leider auch beim Pool. Mit sehr wenig könnte man da etwas wundervolles machen! Die Lage fanden wir super! Einfach nur Ruhe pur! Wir würden da wieder hin."

"From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very welcoming host. He was always available whenever we had questions. The villa was absolutely beautiful and spotless, and the pool quickly became the kids’ best friend throughout the holiday. The old town of Rethymno was just a 20-minute drive away. All in all, a perfect stay – Alexandros was the man with the big smile and always ready to help."

"The property was very clean and well maintained. All of the staff were extremely friendly. Overall the food was very good.
Not at all the properties fault but it rained 2 of the 4 days we stayed at this resort. A lot of this resorts amenities (ping pong, full size chess) and even some of the a la carte restaurants do not operate when it's raining. And with everyone needing to be inside, the common area's felt a bit cramped."

We loved it here! Service was amazing. Loved being able to walk to the beach and enjoy local restaurants. It was also lovely to be so close to Old Town Rethymno! Will definitely recommend this hotel to any and everyone!

Came for the location, stayed for the pool and the ambiance. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were spacious and with great amenities. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall would stay again and would recommend without reservation.

This hotel is unique, but very interesting and pleasing! We were upgraded due to my husbands height. We needed a bed with no foot board. We were on the top floor....had a beautiful sunny deck...perfect for March sunshine! We looked out on snow covered mountains , a lemon tree, old buildings and roofs. And we could get a glimpse of the Fort! Very special for we two Canadians. Beds were comfortable, towels and supplies very nice. Breakfast included, down around the corner, was wonderful! ...

Stayed the second week in October for 2 days at this charming hotel. Annamaria was very welcoming upon our arrival offering us a welcoming drink in the gorgeous courtyard while we checkin and bags brought up to our rooms for us. The breakfast was fantastic having everything you could want from pastries, cheese and cold cuts, assortment of breads and eggs made to order. The location is quiet and has everything closely. The room was unique and well equipped with bottled water, tea/coffee and a...

Nice bungalow but a little smelly and always some water under the tiles on the bathroom floor, that should be repared, probably the cause of the smell.. pools are nice but not heated! Nice view but no view from them, if I had known I wouldn’t have paid extra for a bungalow

Beautiful property in a great location. Staff was very attentive. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection. It’s in a lovely walking section of the old city but there is parking at the Port parking lot about 5 minutes away. Will definitely stay here again.

The only thing that cork be improved upon was the temperature of the hot tub which could be warmer.

While the property is new and beautiful it is not those esthetics that stand out for me. After flying for hours from from Rome, the nightmare of airport security and arriving in your new destination in the dark the brightest star was the most welcoming lady at the front desk - Theoploti.
I had just finished a jam packed tour of Italy with massive crowds at places like the Roman Forum and The Colosseum. To arrive to such solitude and quiet was a joy like no other. No one giving me attitude...

The best area to stay in Mesi is the village centre, particularly around the main square and the streets leading off it.
This area is the heart of Mesi, offering easy access to local amenities and a real sense of village life. You'll find traditional tavernas, small shops, and the local bakery within a short walk. The main square often hosts community events, providing a pleasant local experience. The architecture here is classic Cretan, with stone buildings and narrow, winding pathways.
For couples seeking a relaxing escape, staying in the village centre is ideal. You can enjoy quiet evenings at local tavernas, stroll hand-in-hand through the historic streets, and easily access the walking trails that lead into the surrounding countryside. It provides a peaceful base for exploring the region.
Families will also find the village centre convenient. With everything within walking distance, it's easy to manage children. The local shops provide essentials, and the open spaces around the square offer a pleasant spot for children to play under supervision.
When is the best time to go to Mesi?
The best times to go to Mesi, Crete, are during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October).
These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring, with warm but not excessively hot temperatures and less rainfall than the winter months. You'll also find the island less crowded than in the peak summer, allowing for a more relaxed experience while still enjoying all the attractions. Many hotels and restaurants will be fully open, but without the busiest crowds.
For those planning a romantic getaway, late May and early June provide idyllic conditions for enjoying the beaches and exploring the historic sites without the intense heat or the throngs of summer tourists. The wildflowers are often still in bloom, adding to the island's natural beauty.
Families travelling with younger children might find early September particularly appealing. The sea remains warm enough for swimming, and the high summer temperatures have started to subside, making outdoor activities more comfortable.
