Set on 10 picturesque acres at the gateway to the stunning Mornington Peninsula, Wilindi Estate is the perfect place to relax and get a taste of peaceful farm life. Wake up to the sounds of the country on our beautiful property, feeling assured our welcome is the start of relaxing and special time @ Herd Harmony & Wilindi Estate Maple Cottage @Wilindi Estate is a 2-bedroom cottage, with its own private, fenced garden. Interiors have been curated with an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique farm furnishings. The cosy living area with garden views includes a fully equipped kitchenette with bench top oven and dishwasher. The stylish master bedroom boasts a tall raked ceiling providing a spacious ambiance. A unique, porthole window also doubles as a reading seat where you can while away the hours enjoying the view of the property. A plush velvet queen bed adds a touch of luxury. The second bedroom offers a bunk bed to sleep two. The pièce de résistance is the stunning privately hedged terrace, offering an outdoor barbecue and beautiful sunsets all year round. Herd Harmony equine rescue operates from Wilindi Estate, your booking fees go toward the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected, abused and abandoned horses.....my herd says thank you for your support. COOKING FACILITIES Due to council restriction we do not have built-in cooking facilities, but we do have alternatives for any meal you are planning to cook! • Large electric frypan • Fry pan, saucepans • Benchtop oven • Webber BBQ • Toaster • Double electric hob • Slow cooker • Casserole and oven dishes • Microwave • Waffle Maker The shared pool is such a special place and is solar heated all-year-round. If the outside temperature is below 25 or there hasn't been allot of sun, solar heating is usually not enough for a comfortable swim. We can use the electrical heating and the additional charge is $30 PER DAY to guarantee a heated pool from 26-32 degrees. If this sounds like something you'd like, please book at least 7 days in advance as the heating will de turned on 48 hours before your arrival. The host, Miriam continued to go above and beyond. Very welcoming and involving. We got to choose how involved we wanted to be or not. Each morning she took us though her rescue horse property and explained what she does. The kids got to pat, walk and brush the horse. Absolutely amazing experience for the kids. The cottages were well placed to provide privacy while remaining within a minutes walk to the paddocks and rescued animals who live a truly blessed life here with Miriam as their custodian. Manicured lawns and hedgerows, a poplar-lined driveway entry from a story book, inquisitive roaming chickens, Chilli the dog greeting you with a wag and the choice to be included in some of the care of Miriam's stable of rescued horses all added to the relaxing experience, giving a feeling that you were completely taken away from your usual daily grind into a quiet, little cocoon of rural life. Miriam is the perfect host. Her passion for the care of her animals and obvious love of nature and genuine desire to make you feel welcome was on another level! The farm itself was so beautiful and relaxing. Miriam gave us a tour of the farm, we got to meet the farm animals which was so exciting. She was so wonderful! The cottage is the perfect distance from Melbourne with kids for a weekend getaway. The outdoor pool is bliss and the horses and chickens a very big hit. The clean and modern cottages have everything you need and nearby Tyabb and Balnarring have some good eateries if you're sick of cooking. Miriam and her children are so friendly and welcoming. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. The cottage is brand new, with everything you need for a really comfortable stay, including high quality bedding and linen. They have literally thought of everything, including milk, coffee pods, mozzie spray, sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, body wash! The solar heated pool was an added bonus, clean and so refreshing! We have never felt so welcome during a BNB stay, Miriam and her gorgeous girls were so lovely and we learnt so much from them about farm life and rescuing horses. Our girls (6yo and 4yo) loved the opportunity to feed the chickens and collect some eggs. We feel so privileged to have been able to spend time at this beautiful Estate. The cottage was beautifully designed and the estate was pure bliss! The host, Miriam, was incredibly hospitable and so welcoming. Her complimentary tour of the farm was a real insight into what farm life is really like and the incredible work she does to rescue horses. The cottage is beautifully furnished and prepared with care. All your essentials are provided from coffee pods for the coffee machine to sunscreen and flyspray. The swimming pool is lovely, surrounded with plenty of shade and relaxing sunchairs. There is even a herb garden for visitors to make use of. The highlight for our family was learning about and helping to care for the horses. Miriam and her team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and memorable. Miriam was a very accommodating host always making sure we were comfortable showing us around her property and introducing us to her rescue horses. Our cottage was well equipped with all the necessities, a fantastic backyard for our little one to run around and play, collecting freshly laid eggs each day and the cherry on top was the stunning pool that we spent most of our days next to cooling off.
