Not Worth Even the Cheap Price: Pet Friendly? False. Hunter Friendly? Absolutely.
We stayed at the Motel 6 in Elko expecting a basic, budget stay. We didn't even get that.
Clean? Barely. The shower floor had dirt and grime caked on the bottom, and so did the toilet. Speaking of the toilet: it made a HORRENDOUS, ear-piercing noise every time it ran. When we mentioned it, the staff somehow blamed us for the hotel's own plumbing.
Pet friendly? False. Hunter friendly? Yes. Our dog was singled out for being "too loud" during the day. Meanwhile, the hunters staying there were banging around all night and all morning, slamming doors, and making more noise as a group than one dog ever could. They weren't quiet during the day either. Ours wasn't the only dog there, either. I'd love to know whether any other guests were told their dogs were too loud, or whether a single hunter was asked to keep it down. I doubt we were the only ones they kept up.
And the kicker: the "refundable" $100 deposit. Our 2-year-old spilled a little mac and cheese on ONE sheet. One wash would have taken care of it. They kept $50 for it. I doubt that sheet was worth $10.
Bottom line: Appalling customer service, ridiculous charges, a dirty room, and plumbing that screams at you while staff blames the guests. Not pet friendly. Not child friendly. Not clean. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else.
