« I arrived with an intention: introduce my daughter to Thoreau, spark a few good conversations, and leave with a memory or two. What I didn't anticipate was leaving with a renewed faith in my fellow human beings. The cabin is extraordinary — a to-scale replica of the Walden dwelling, built with the kind of care that tells you the owners understand why it matters, not just what it looks like. But the cabin is almost beside the point once you step onto the grounds. This is a working farm with life...

« I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The cabin is beautiful, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very thoughtfully furnished. It’s on the owner’s property in a very rural, wooded setting, but still feels private and secluded. The setting was exactly what I was looking for. The cabin itself is small enough to feel cozy without feeling cramped. The living area is surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable couch and a full kitchen equipped with nice, newer appliances. « In the renters defense I booked with only 24 hours notice, I should have taken a hint when I didn’t get the email. Once contact was made, the rest went fine. Renter was kind and apologetic about the communication issues. Had more time been given i am sure the home would have been ready. It’s a beautiful private location, just not for the price offered, in my humble opinion. »

« The house is not at all what it looks like in the pictures. The outdoor area in the backyard had moldy stain seat cushions, so we could not enjoy the outdoor space.
