"Fabulous property that feels like a remote getaway but has lovely amenities and nice touches of rustic luxury. This hotel is 5 years old but feels brand new. The restaurant is excellent. The included breakfast buffet is one of the very best I’ve ever had. They are building a spa near the lake. The hike around the lake is peaceful. Will definitely be back to this hotel."

"Small room, but bright; every item useful, chair more comfortable than most motels, Room as clean as any I stay in. Microwave and fridge easily accessible. There are a liquor store and coffee shop attached, which is handy. I give it four stars+ based on an absolute scale including more expensive figs; but for the price range I consider it 5 star, and in the future I’m going to stay in the Wayne Inn rather than the others I’ve tried."

"Me and my friends recently stayed at the Rex Hotel in Greenwood and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed during our stay. The rooms were well-maintained, quiet, and very relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a long day. We also appreciated the convenient location, which made it easy to explore Greenwood and nearby restaurants and attractions. Overall, the Rex Hotel provided great service and a pleasant stay, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

Also, during our entire 3-day stay, our room was never cleaned, which was very frustrating and unacceptable. We expected much better service and attention to guests. "If you are allergic to a cat, there is a lot of cats… I booked through Expedia. Upon arrival, the front desk couldn’t find my reservation and insisted on creating a new one with my card. After much insistence, they located it but had no room ready, forcing me to wait. Placed in a room with a strong urine smell (likely dog) in the bathroom. No room number signs in the hallway, and the same odor was in the main first-floor bathroom. No Wi-Fi password provided. Breakfast was okay. Photos on Expedia were misleading. Not sure if I’d return."
