Marshalltown Vacation Packages

We had to stay there three nights. The first night wasn't too bad. Once it got to Friday, it was crazy. People were slamming doors, partying in the hallways a 3:00a in the morning, and fighting. We ended up just leaving the hotel and finding somewhere else to stay.

One night stay; great price, friendly staff, clean rooms & kids enjoyed the pool! Also, close to restaurants which was convenient!

We enjoyed our stay. Was quiet, thick walls we think because a little league team was running around the halls while we were there but we only noticed when we weren't inside our room. Staff was friendly and very casual. Beautiful lobby.

We stayed here on 2 separate occasions. I had messaged the hotel asking for rooms that were close together as there were 4 of us. We were put at opposite ends of the hallway. When we entered our room, it reeked of cat urine. We asked to be moved and were taken to the second floor, but both rooms smelled of cigarette smoke even though this was billed as a nonsmoking hotel. Finally, we were taken to the 3rd floor and this room still had an odor to it, but not as bad so we bought some sanitizer spray which helped. We were told there were plenty of rooms on the 3rd floor so I said I had asked for rooms close to each other and was told the message I sent through Expedia wasn’t read. The clerk contacted her boss to see if our daughter and 2 year old grandson could be moved, but our request was declined. On our last night there the smoke alarms went off in the building shortly after midnight and we were told it was due to someone smoking on the first floor. We will not be staying there again and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
