"Great pools, entertainment and dinner by the sea, "
Awesome experience with the front desk who got us a great view room. Buffet Restuarant was good in service but chef canbe more creative in changing options everyday. Ceviche was not well prepared as our Mexican destinations we have been to. Rooms were clean and kids could play at the safe private beach. Service at the beach or pools was not so great. Kids club was really sad , they can really improve it. All I saw was staff putting stuff in the pool and kids finding the toys. My son refused to go there since we saw just 1 kid who was making a craft. Entertainment shows were great and we saw the artists practice in the mornings. There were on site photographers so this was great for taking pictures. Italian place and oriental place was ok but an again improve on variations in menu. Agave was awesome with most food except the desserts. Beach was very clean and safe and we could see fish swimming right at our feet. Lots of mosquitoes in the night though so pls. Carry sprays. Internet was supposed to be free in the lobby and front desk never mentioned that to begin with.

"All Good but need improvement on Internet service"
I liked everything about the hotel except they had terrible internet service. If they improve on the internet connection, I would go back to stay with them anytime but if not, I will have to find another hotel...

"Good deal for off season "
Clean, quiet and almost empty since it was off season. If you're looking to have access to a calm, huge beach then this may not be it. The beach near the hotel can have some rough waters so you're limited to a small area. Or you can go to other beaches in Manzanillo but it will be quite a walk or a ways using the bus. The WIFI was also not working when we were there so that was another negative

"Great Hotel for the price"
This is the second visit to this resort. The first time it was called Club Maeva. The resort has not changed too much. Appears to be a little better run and some upgrades have been done. Staff was very nice, but English was a little limited. The primary reason we chose this resort was the large rooms for the price. Rooms are fairly old, but very spacious. Good for a larger family or if you want a separate room from the kids. Note: The floors are all tile and very slippery when wet. If you go into the trip understanding that this is a resort that caters to Mexican families and does not have the quality standards of the US resorts, you will not be disappointed. The resort is still nice and clean and the staff are friendly. The resort is also very spread out, so there is a lot of walking and hills/steps. This is good if you want to work off your food/drinks, but is more difficult if you are disabled or have small kids (with strollers). The food selection is not as great as other all-inclusives, but it is good and no problems with quality/sickness. In summary, the resort is a little dated and not as comprehensive as other all inclusives, but the price is significantly lower. If you value getting to a warm destination and having some space in your room at a low price, I would highly recommend Gran Festivall. If you expect a US style hotel experience and are willing to pay for it, this is not a place for you.

"Great stay! Great beach for kids!"
This hotel is not a big resort, if you re looking for a resort type place to vacation this is not for you! The staff is great, they go out of their way to please you. Janet in their front desk is wonderful! She is a great asset to this hotel, she had a smile on her face, but most importantly she had answers for all my questions. The room is very clean, the AC worked great. WiFi worked perfectly on the public/common areas, not in the rooms. They are working on improving the WiFi signal. They served a basic continental breakfast - juice, coffee, toast. They do offered other choices and you pay additional. They also serve lunch for about 3 hours everyday - fish, ceviche, etc; There is a small supermarket (Kiosko) right outside of the hotel, very convenient! The beach is great for kids, there are no big waves. We loved it!
