Louez un bateau à l'un des vendeurs de la Playa Miramar et laissez-vous porter par les vagues légères qui s'écrasent sur toute la longueur de la plage. Ensuite, allez déguster des fruits de mer frais à l'un des restaurants au toit de paille, alignés le long de plage, et magasiner des souvenirs dans les kiosques d'artisanat bordant la route qui passe derrière la plage. Allez vous balader au lagon Las Peñitas, où vous pourrez observer toute une variété d'animaux. La Playa Miramar, la plage avec «vue sur la mer», est l'une des plages les plus fréquentées de la région de Manzanillo. Les familles et les groupes d'amis aiment s'y retrouver pour pique-niquer et se rafraîchir dans la mer après le travail. Les visiteurs trouvent aussi leur bonheur dans les divers magasins de location, les restaurants et les kiosques à souvenirs. Le surf est le passe-temps le plus pratiqué à la playa Miramar. Bon nombre de magasins de la plage louent des planches de glisse et des planches de surf. Si vous n'avez encore jamais fait de surf, réservez un cours à l'une des écoles de la plage. Les surfeurs plus expérimentés trouveront les meilleures vagues du côté de Olas Altas. Si le surf ne vous tente pas, vous pouvez choisir parmi d'autres sports aquatiques comme le kayak ou la planche à voile. Dégustez la cuisine locale dans l'un des palapas, ces petits restaurants en plein air couverts de toits de paille qui bordent la plage, ou magasinez des bijoux dans l'un des marchés en plein air. Assurez-vous de marchander pour obtenir un bon prix. Allez faire un tour dans les allées pavées autour du lagon Las Peñitas. Aigrettes, hérons et autres oiseaux y ont élu domicile si vous restez dans le secteur jusqu'au coucher du soleil, vous les verrez se percher. Vous pourriez même apercevoir quelque chose de gros dans l'eau, des crocodiles vivent dans le coin. Les visites à cheval sont aussi un excellent moyen de voir la plage. Réserver une sortie pour explorer la région et galoper sur le sable avant de finir votre journée avec un verre dans l'un des bars. La playa Miramar est dans la baie de Santiago, entre la playa Olas Altas et la playa Boutiqua.
