There were ants in the room, a stained towel, the paint was peeling off, ceiling had water damage stains and cracks, room got very musty after one hour of the window closed (we were on the basement floor).
Got to check in early for £15, so that’s nice.

A large king bed suite. Large enough for more than 1 uncomfortable chair, could easily fit a small table and 2 chairs. Actually looked like wasted space.
Lighting in large good Bath very dim. More light please.
On 2 days (of 5) no room changeover before 6 pm.
Glasses in suite below standard for this type of property. Small, plastic, no wine glasses. Had to go to the bar to get ice.
Staff is uniformly excellent, the set backs are HQ choices.

Lovely hotel though frustratingly nowhere to put your wash bag in the bathrooms or to sit in front a mirror to do your hair (so many hotels guilty of this). Staff are really great. We had a problem that was immediately resolved.

A friendly and supportive receptionist greeted me. The room was bright, fresh and clean. A good night's sleep was had in a comfortable bed followed by a powerful hot shower in the morning.
