"The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Parking was limited - very limited. The room we stayed in was small and the door to the bathroom wouldn’t stay shut. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay"

"Our son goes to LSU so we frequent Baton Rouge and stay in hotels every time we visit. I have never stayed at the Cook due to pricing and availability during game days. But, this time we visited BR for a baseball game and the hotel price was within our budget so I booked it expecting perfection after reading reviews on LSU Facebook pages. It was not perfection, it was good but definitely not perfection. But, I should have known that since it is in Louisiana (I grew up in Louisiana). There was hair in our shower, the shower handle didn't work properly (we had to finagle it to get it to turn off), there were Mardi Gras beads and water bottle caps under the edge of the bed, there are not enough plugs near the bed to charge your phone and there aren't any hooks in the secondary sink area. On Saturday night, they didn't have any washcloths to give us. The poor guy who brought us towels had to go "hunt them down" and brought us what he could. The bar is a complete joke. My son has more alcohol at his house than this bar had. We were there early (around 6 pm) and the guy told us when I went to get a refill on my champagne that they didn't have any more champagne glasses so I had to hand him my used one. Employees were nice and helpful and overall, the hotel was nice but it certainly didn't knock my socks off like I expected it to. Disappointing."

"Baton Rouge in general struggles with customer service. The Hilton as a brand should be ashamed their front desk staff, valets and restaurant staff fall so short of professional standards. There must be zero training. These young people have zero hospitality training. The housekeeping is sub-par which is constant with Baton Rouge hotels but the rudeness was extra, extra. This isn’t even to mention the night the fire alarm went off for three hours and these clowns could not get it together. Many frieghtened children standing in the street in their pajamas with drunk people smoking and a wedding reception and it was disgusting. You will die here if there is a fire between the ignorance and apathy."

"The unit was nice and clean. Excellent communication from host. Just a couple things I’ll mention is that the location is close to LSU, but unfortunately the area is not kept up by other tenants so there was a lot of garbage/trash/furniture piled on the street next to and behind the parking area, and during our stay the parking lot had multiple vehicles being maintenanced by other tenants/or someone using the parking area so parking was difficult the first day and a half."

"Great townhome close to LSU campus. We could walk to activities which was a real bonus. Communication with the hosts was great. They responded to any of my messages almost immediately. Even stopped in to replace a battery in the smoke detector. Highly recommend this property."
