This is a wonderfully restored inn. Rachel the owner was wonderful. We will always stay here when in downtown Detroit.

The apartment was fine except there were no instructions how to operate otherwise high quality appliances. The biggest drawback though was the complete lack of staff willing to assist with check in and advice, only a phone number to call which was tricky with a non-American phone. Expedia did not supply the codes to enter the building or to enter the apartment. One staff member was at the desk when I left but she said she was only responsible for the long-term residents and could not help me. But for the price it was otherwise a reasonable deal. Outlets where to buy food were not indicated. The closest I could find was about a 10 minute walk away. More customer support definitely needed I think

Everything was great except we only had one set of towels each, no bathmat and shower door gets water all over the floor! We had to take a shower at night after the hot summer night at the ball game and did not have a dry towel for the morning.

The lodge dinner does not have breakfast doing the week just on Saturday and Sunday. Our stay was doing the week. I wanted that omelet they make so bad.

This hotel beautifully blends modern and classic design elements. The suite I had was enormous, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning view. I particularly enjoyed the luxurious rainfall shower and the deep soaking bath, which added a touch of relaxation to my stay. The bed, pillows, and couch were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The amenities provided were thoughtful and added to the overall experience. I appreciated the bathrobe, slippers, and the availability of tea and coffee. However, my stay was marred by a significant noise issue. The sound of motorcycles was quite disruptive, making it difficult to sleep until around 3 AM, even with the white noise machine provided. A suggestion for improvement would be the addition of bath salts for the tub, which would enhance the relaxation experience further.
