The best time to go to Lucy is during the spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these months, the temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 22°C, making it comfortable for exploring the D-Day landing beaches and the local countryside. You'll find the main attractions, like the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, are less busy than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more reflective and personal experience.

Families travelling with children might prefer late spring or early autumn to avoid the intense heat and larger crowds that can occur in July and August. The weather is generally suitable for outdoor activities like visiting the Bayeux Tapestry or exploring the Mont Saint-Michel, and many local events and markets are still in full swing. Keep in mind that some smaller, seasonal attractions might have reduced hours in late autumn.

For couples seeking a romantic getaway, the shoulder seasons offer a more tranquil setting. The landscapes are particularly picturesque, with spring blossoms or autumn colours providing a beautiful backdrop for walks along the coast or visits to charming villages.
