"Clean, convenient, quite great amenities (small but solid gym. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The gas station is walking distance. So is the pizza place next door which was delicious. I would stay here anytime"

"The room and bathroom were very clean and good sized. Breakfast was excellent , plentiful, and made to order from the choices on the menu, versus the more common breakfast buffet. The hallway from the motel rooms in back to the front lobby was quite unappealing, so we walked outside to get to the restaurant and lobby after that first mistake. The outside of the motel was a bit rundown looking, so we were pleasantly surprised that the rooms and restaurant were good looking inside."

"The front door was locked when we arrived at check in time but it was opened immediately by a woman who we believe is the owner. Check in was very quick. She escorted us through the main lobby and a common room which were beautifully decorated in the Victorian style and she pointed out the then-closed room where the included continental breakfast would be served in the morning. Breakfast opened up at 7:30. As we were booked for the lst ferry to P.E.I. the next day we said we likely would not be able to join them for breakfast. She assured us we'd have plenty of time to get the ferry but new to it, we decided to follow the ferry line's recommendation regarding arrival time. . She took us up the stairs to the 2nd floor (there are no elevators) and offered us a choice between 2 very nice rooms. It was storming outside when we arrived and it had worsened. We had had a late lunch so decided against going out into the storm for dinner. We did go downstairs mid evening to take a longer look around and while there were other cars in the parking lot, there was no one in the common rooms. There was no one at the front desk but there was a telephone there with instructions on how to reach the owner. Our room was nicely decorated in turquoise and white, with a flat screen TV and a comfortable Queen bed. The hotel was very clean."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The property is very well cared for, clean, and charming. Our room was well appointed with beautiful linens, boutique body products, and the bed was so comfortable! The hosts are friendly and full of local knowledge which they are more than happy to share. I highly recommend this property!"

"The Antigonish Evergreen Inn was easily the best stay I've had at hotel in a long time. It's a pleasant spot on the outskirts of the town overlooking some scenic hills and fields, and the room I stayed in was both cozy and comfortable. Not only that, the staff was extremely helpful, giving me a complimentary shaving kit, toothbrush, and toothpaste when I forgot to pack mine, and the exceedingly patient owner even entertained my request to show me how to close my Venetian blinds the right way! There's definitely a specific and friendly vibe that you really only get with a family-owned business like that. The free breakfast is also not to miss, with oatmeal, delicious local blueberries, pastries, coffee, and more. The small shared dining area in the front office is also a great place to meet new travelers, and I was lucky enough to sit down with a variety of pleasant and colorful fellow guests. Although unfortunately I don't see myself visiting Antigonish again any time soon, if I were to, I would be staying at the Antigonish Evergreen Inn."
