I had apprehensions about booking at Hotel Per La due to previous reviews of the DTLA area, but my stay was satisfying. The hotel staff was hospitable and accommodating, with Dante providing excellent service during check-in. The atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant/bar area was pleasant, and my room was cozy with a comfortable bed. Although the rooftop pool was too cool for a swim, the views and drinks at the bar were enjoyable. I didn't dine at the restaurant, but the bartenders were friendly, and the drinks were tasty. The hotel's glass mirror entrance was an attractive feature, and I walked to Grand Central Market and Angels Flight without any issues. I suggest considering Hotel Per La for your stay.

The building is very beautiful. Parking is valet only. Rooms are very small. You will be paying over $100 per night extra once you arrive as parking is $60 and they have a ridiculous "destination fee". Once you receive the invoice for the extras, it in no way makes sense. If you call to ask about it, you will get no help and never get a call back.
