Because of filming guests are treated like second class citizens. One day I asked for an umbrella and the concierge just said sorry no. No way this is a 5 star hotel.
The rooms were lovely. The mattress and pillows were wonderful. The shower had great water pressure and the shower head felt great. The bath towels were huge. The employees were friendly.
The only complaint I had was they don’t put a top sheet on the bed, only a duvet with a duvet cover. So it was awkward not sleeping without a sheet and it got extremely hot under the duvet in spite of us keeping the thermostat set on 66 degrees. So this made it difficult to sleep.
Very nice rooms. Bathroom was spacious and the room setup was great. My one complaint was the restaurant. I tried to get dinner but ending waiting about 15 minutes without being helped. Overall a good experience.
Hotel Per La meet all my expectations. This is so charming and beautiful hotel in the heart of DTLA. Tons of great restaurants around, it is very safe and not on the last place the hotel restaurant is the best. Loved the oxtail veil pasta, amazing staff! Will stay there again!
The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms were immaculate. Unfortunately the service from hotel staff was average at best and at times completely non existent. When we arrived at the hotel in the morning with our luggage (4 large suitcases and two small bags) I asked the hotel receptionist for a trolley for our luggage. He directed me to the trolleys but made no effort to assist us with our bags or arrange a porter to escort us to our room. When it was time to check out I rang reception and asked for a trolley to be sent up to our room to bring our bags down. They assured me one was being sent to our room but it never arrived. I ended up going down to the lobby, fetching one myself and bringing our luggage down in two trips.
