This may be the worst property that I've stayed at. Feces in the ill equipped parking lot, Cockaroach on the floor in the entrance hallway. Horrible smell inside and outside of room. Paper thin walls. Staff actually said the following to me at check-in..."We do the minimum". They also charged for parking, but parking was not available for all the guests that they charged. This site should be removed from Expedia, and perhaps as a business. Very dangerous situation.

I was honestly very unhappy with my stay. At 2-3am there was so much noise from people inside the hotel as if they were having a party - the walls are paper thin and didn’t let me sleep. The pictures were misleading and the property was a lot more beat up than i was expecting. I was a bit grossed out my the conditions. Also, the whole hotel smelled like smoke and seemed to be filled with crack heads… will not be coming back here ever…

Parking available means street parking. The hotel is less than 2 *. The bed is hard like a rock the AC does not work and it is taped. There was human feces on the side walk as soon as we got out to the street. Not a hotel for anyone with body pains. Only steeps to the hotel and the room...

Place was ok as a place to sleep but is not in great condition. Faulty window catches, leaking shower, evidence of cheap repairs etc. Breakfast was provided but didn't amount to much. Unexpected fees also and I am checking my credit card statement as I may have been charged twice for my stay. Good location though.

Moved to this hotel after an unpleasant experience at another nearby. Much happier here. Had to change rooms because the windows in the room, while able to be opened, didn't lock when closed. But they were quite happy to do so. Each room seems a little different. Was odd to have the sink in the main room instead of the bathroom but there were things that were convenient about that. Staff were helpful and tried to accommodate when we had requests or questions. "Breakfast" was cereal, gummies (?) and toast with juice or coffee, self serve, in the lobby, only for an hour. But it was nice to have something available if we had been around. Air con and heater available, although LOUD (but we were tired so didn't notice after awhile). No safe in the room or elevator to get to the second floor with luggage. But for the price and general location, happy with it. Would actually stay again!

The name "VIP Hollywood" is very misleading. Services are pathetic. Breakfast is very poor quality. Ideally, they should not serve the breakfast, if they only provide bread & butter. Even that was out one day and we could not get anything to eat before heading out. Rooms and cleaning is pathetic. Staff don't entertain any issues, leave it on management. And management don't reply to any query. Very BAD experience taking family out to LA for amusement parks.

Continental breakfast only included one type of cereal and some bread. Room had hair all over and towels were obviously a few years old. Parking was $25 a day. I guess you get what you pay for!

Not enough towels and the hotel ran out of soap. We had to go buy soap. There were three in the rooms only provided towels for one person. When they gave us more they were old looking. Place is old, bath room is out of date.

I’ll start with the positive, the location of the property means you are only a few minutes walk from Hollywood Boulevard. The room was clean, but it did feel a little run down. Could do with a new bed and upgraded shower. Customer service was poor, not the most welcoming or friendly. The night receptionist was very loud and inconsiderate during the night, with our rooms being next to reception this caused limited sleep during our stay, often being woken up. I appreciate this is a budget (2 Star) hotel, but I’ve stayed in better. I would not recommend to any friends or family.

I felt more like we were staying at a youth hostel than a hotel. The clerk sat at their desk and did not stand to help people who were locked out at the front door. A guest at the hotel was passed out while people yelled at her with her door hanging open and other guests were visibly using drugs. I felt unsafe and could not wait to check out. If you are traveling with a family, I would strongly encourage you to find another place to stay.
