![On the tip of Longboat Key, at the channel that connects the Gulf of Mexico with the Sarasota Bay, there exists a chunk of sandy paradise known colloquially as Beer Can Island. 

The landscape of this beach is decorated with the remnants of countless fallen Australian Pines (Casuarina). An invasive tree that even after its death lingers. The death of many a chainsaw blade is blamed on its incredibly hard wood.

« Great location and beach access- pool is awesome! Unit doesn’t face the ocean, but it’s right there! Very low key- place is very clean. WiFi is spotty and would not be good if you are planning to work while staying- that is an island wide issue I believe- No stove, but has everything else a kitchen needs and a grill- we would come back! »

« We had a wonderful experience again at this unit. A few changes post hurricane, but all good! The new couch is comfortable and the fresh white paint looked great. Check in was easy and communication with property owner was quick. We loved the pool and beach and look forward to coming back. »
