"Our stay at this property was wonderful. The view is amazing and location is good for exploring the island. There were 3 of us which was perfect. The deck with swimming pool is a great spot to relax. It is uphill (steep!) from the beach, restaurants and grocery. We had a car and the driveway and driving on Madeira is not for the feint of heart. Garry was a very helpful and kind host. Lovely spot—Madeira is highly recommend!"

"From 2/3 days before our stay we were in constant contact with the property manager who was extremely helpful and informative. He met us on the day to show us around and the property was immaculate and extremely well equipped! Due to the property being up quite a steep hill it is advised to get a hire car as we did find after the first day taxis are very expensive so if you want to visit other parts of the island then do get a hire car! We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this...

"Saccharum hotel is a really special place. It is a small paradise that has an infinity pool with an ocean view, amazing gardens, indoor pool, great staff, and really restaurants with amazing views of the ocean. It is located very close to Calheta sandy beach. It is highly recommended if you would like to have a calm and picturesque stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Madeira. I will definitely come back here again. "
