"The stay at the house was absolutely fantastic! It’s a beautiful home with stunning views, and watching the sunrise in the morning was truly spectacular. The house was very clean and well-maintained, making it a perfect place for a comfortable stay.Everyone, including the kids, enjoyed it so much. The highlight for them was catching a fish right from the back waters of the house – such a fun and memorable experience!It’s a wonderful spot whether you’re staying with family or friends, ideal for both relaxation and making great memories. The host, Frank, was excellent – very helpful and quick to respond to all inquiries.I would rate this place 10/10 for the house, the stay, and the host. The only small suggestion would be to have the grill located outside the kitchen door, which would make it more convenient than carrying things to the other side of the house.Overall, highly recommended! "

"This hotel is in a beautiful location, between the St, Mary's and Potomac rivers, on a narrow strip of land. Sunrise and sunset over the water are both spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable, and could probably use an upgrade at some point, but the rates are so affordable that this is a great and inexpensive getaway. The Ruddy Duck restaurant and bar next door is also delightful and reasonably priced. This hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway less than 2 hours from DC!"

"We had a great vacation at Hideaway! The house is so cozy and beautifully decorated. It was clean and fully stocked with supplies. There are so many amenities that we didn’t have time to use them all! (Kayaks, paddle board, game shed, crabbing, fire pits, pizza oven…) The owners have thought of everything you’d need or want, plus more! We loved the quiet beach and how close it is to the house. We can’t wait to return again!"

"we have stayed here more than once but this time we were not happy the pool wasn't open, they said it was under repairs, this should have been told to me when I called and I asked about the pool and they said yes, we have a pool, they should have said yes, we have a pool but its not open, not right, we will probably not stay there next year on our way to va beach, sad to say"

"This property is a wonderful place to stay if looking for beautiful sun rises and sunsets, beautiful views, and quiet, peaceful surroundings. The home was spacious and wonderful. We loved the central room, containing a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room (open floor plan). This room allowed everyone to be together and enjoy home cooked meals and lively conversation. We spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the river, barbecuing, and spending quality family time together."
