"From the immaculate grounds, to the unreal US history from the Warner family, this destination is a true gem. Phil and Laura; the inn keepers hosted our amazing stay and provided information on the rich history of the site. Austin’s is a wonderful high quality dining establishment on premises with outstanding cuisine, quiet atmosphere, and wonderful wine recommendations by Christian; a top-notch waiter and sommelier. The original house was remodeled to provide outstanding comfort and amenities. The soap, shampoo, and lotion scent is wonderful and unique. This location is a stones throw from Yorktown and other US history. Thank you for a memorable stay. We will be coming back to experience the other rooms and what the Inn has to offer for the things we were not able to get to during this trip!"

"This is the best VRBO of all times, we had a great time and everything was perfect from start to finish and I mean perfect, we would not change a single thing and we will book here again and again. I would give them 11 stars out of 10, it was the best, plenty of parking, lots of space inside, huge deck and patio outside, a reading area just off the living room, huge living room and large kitchen with everything you need to cook, a popcorn machine, genuine/imitation jukebox and a full size pool table at the far end of the living room within sight of the TV, new HVAC kept the correct temp all 7 days we sat on the dock and ducks would come within 10 feet of us, blue herons fishing, birds singing, so quiet and peaceful. A 1500 square foot house at an incredible low price, no cleaning fees and everything was perfect….what more could you ask for?"

"Front desk staff was great. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. Parking was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Only drawback was the pool didnt appear to be maintained to the same standard. Breakfast was much more than we expected. Bacon, eggs, waffles, a selection of cereals, yogurt, juices in addition to sweet rolls, coffee, tea and hot chocolate."

"The property has a great all inclusive breakfast and also love the fact that they have an outdoor pool since the neighboring hotel doesn't. I've stayed here in the past when visiting family near by and haven't been disappointed. Also I want to thank the two front desk employees Michelle and Tyrese, for understanding my situation and being super accommodating to my needs. You guys rock!!! See you all again in the near future."

"We had a wonderful stay on the York River and would definitely recommend this house! It was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. The well-equipped kitchen, plenty of room to spread out, and three full bathrooms worked perfectly for our group of five adults. The fenced yard was also a huge bonus for our dog.We especially enjoyed the easy access to the river during the hot weather. The two kayaks, one canoe, and variety of life jackets made it easy to get out on the water, and the views from the house are beautiful. Although we didn't use the fire pit, it was a nice amenity to have available.The location was perfect for us, only about 20 minutes to the restaurants and shops in historic Gloucester, around 30 minutes to the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center, and less than an hour to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.The host was very responsive. We let them know the garbage barrels were full when we arrived and they arranged to have them emptied the very next day, which we really appreciated.The only thing future guests should know is that the house sits high on a hill. The elevation provides spectacular views of the river, but the walk down to the dock and waterfront could be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns.Overall, this was a great property in a peaceful location and we'd gladly stay here again."
