From reading the old reviews it seems like the new owners have really been putting in hard work to bring this place back to life; they are still working on it but everything was clean and amenities have been upgraded from previous photos such as flat screen tv with plenty of satellite channels and a ceiling fan with a remote (which I had to take a picture of because I loved it and want to find one for myself). If you want fancy and new this isn't the place for you but if you are like me and enjoy the motels with midcentury history but modern upgrades, it's a great stay. They accommodated my dogs for a lower pet fee than anywhere else and the customer service couldn't have been any better. I'd definitely stay again." Our only suggestion would be for the owners to consider installing a ceiling fan on the upper level to help circulate the warm air that naturally rises and causes the loft area to become so much warmer than the ground floor during the heating season. That would be a tremendous addition to the overall comfort during the Winter months. This Mountain Cabin was a joy to rent, and our stay will long be remembered as a highlight of our North Carolina Holiday vacation!" It’s perfectly positioned for that location - it’s also super nearby the Linville Winery and just a short drive to more civilization - but it feels so tucked away and remote. Cell service wasn’t much of a thing there, but the WiFi worked great. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen had all the essentials, and the hot tub was just to die for. We enjoyed our stay SO much. The host was gracious enough to allow extra day time visitors on our wedding day as we got ready there at the cabin - the three stories made it easy to do so together, but separate so he didn’t see me before the ceremony. So grateful. Can’t wait to come back!
