    Welcome to Bluebeary Bungalow, your perfect mountain retreat in Beech Mountain! Just a mile from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, this cozy destination offers year-round activities, including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and disc golf. Local dining and shopping are only a few miles away, along with incredible hiking trails. Enjoy the nearby Emerald Outback Trail Park, with stunning trails for bikers and hikers. The Buckeye Lake Recreation Area, about five miles away, offers fishing, basketball, a playground, and a hiking trail to a beautiful waterfall. Just twenty minutes down the mountain, you'll find Banner Elk with its unique shops and restaurants, plus attractions like a winery and ski resorts.

    Inside Bluebeary Bungalow, enjoy cozy comfort with bright vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace in the main living area. The updated kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, perfect for family dinners. Relax on the top deck in rocking chairs with morning coffee.
    Downstairs, find an additional living area and game room with a pool table and another fireplace. The spacious lower deck has picnic tables and a fire pit for cozy evenings.

    This two-level bungalow sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms. The main level offers a queen bedroom and a bunk room with four twin beds. Downstairs, another queen bedroom and a bunk room with a full-over-full bunk bed feature a Pac-Man arcade game. Amenities include WiFi, a washer/dryer, and mini-split systems for heating and cooling. Access is via a gravel driveway with ample parking, just steps from the main deck. Pets are not allowed. During the winter months (October through March), we strongly recommend using a 4-wheel- or all-wheel-drive vehicle, and chains may be necessary in snowy or icy conditions.

Working at Elk River

The house was perfect enough beds for everyone and great location. Easy to get to even in the winter. they enjoyed their stay.

Absolutely wonderful property! Even better than the pictures! The house is beautifully decorated, very spacious and also cozy. The decks - both of them- are large and lovely with plenty of outdoor seating. The setting is gorgeous. This beautiful house has literally everything you need and more! While we had only 5 people in the house, it was evident you could have twice that many and be very comfortable. Will stay again and again!
