Although the issue was resolved by front desk, its hard to not comment on it. Initially, we booked for a queen studio and were at first impressed with the hotel. Upon very little inspection, meaning- being more aware of surroundings- there were at minimum 5 dead roaches located throughout the room. Simply plain as day out in the open. Imagine the ones we would have found if we attempted to look for them. One near the stove, three spread across the floors, one located slightly under the bed, and one in the bathroom. The front desk upon notice did upgrade our room and offer a fresh pair of sheets as compensation. But the room differences were clear as day. The new room smelled more fresh, lacked roaches on genuine inspection, and for the most part was satisfactory. The previous roach room- did not smell as freshly cleaned. Definitely satisfied with staff, the elevator was out of service at the time- amenities looked well kept and breakfast was fairly good and offered variety each day.

The design is cool but the walls are paper thin. You can hear the next room take a shower… The different common areas, outdoor, bars are closed most of the time with limited access though the day and evening. The bartenders do not have enough products to create basic cocktails any decent bar should be able to do for their paying clients. On the up side, the Staff was friendly and the food was good. At that price point I would say PASS. You can get more for your money in pretty much any hotel in Austin downtown.
