My husband and I wanted a few days of sun time in early February this year. It was our first time in the Dominican Republic and we booked at the very last minute. We are not really keen on "all inclusive resorts"so we hesitated quite a bit in selecting where to stay, finally deciding for the Hotel Colibri, along the beach about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Las Terranas. This hotel was truly enjoyable. The view of the bay was breathtaking.
The staff were overall great. One of the waitresses in the restaurant was not very good at her job and did not bring any of the requested items to the table during the complimentary breakfast. I requested for tea with milk, I was almost finished eating and had still not gotten it but I seen her serving other guest. Finally my fiancé got the attention of another waiter and he helped and brought it over.

The swimming pool was Excellent, kids enjoyed every single day, the beach was nearby and downtown las Gáleras was just walking distance. Aneudy at the bar was a great guy when needed of his assistance. The manager was also very helpful at all times.

We went for an anniversary trip and we had a wonderful time. The buffet was decent, a la cartes were very good and the snack bar was amazing. Beach was very clean as well as the pools. The room was great and very clean and quiet. I have nothing bad to say about this place!
