« We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. « The tranquil setting and gorgeous building felt very special. We also enjoyed the gourmet breakfast that started the day . My only observation is that the Arts & Crafts building offers an opportunity to enhance that throughout rather than what is on the walls now, and feels like generic hotel decor that could be found anywhere. The priory is special, and that could be enhanced. »

« Owners were pleasant. We were surprised to be meet with we hadn't booked in our dog and needed to pay an extra £45 in cash for our dog. Then requested to pay an extra £8.50 cash each if we wanted breakfast. As far as we were aware we had paid for B&B and booked our dog in. Breakfast was an ok basket delivered to our room. Good parking on site, although better lighting on the drive would have helped when going out with our dog at night. »
