![Behold... Puu Pehe, known as “Sweetheart Rock”. 

This is Lanai’s most notable landmark and the setting for one of Hawaii’s epic legends.
Story goes a hottie princess from Maui was "captured" by a young warrior from Lanai. He made her his wife and he was so smitten with her beauty and... apparently so insecure that he was afraid to let other men see her so kept her in a sea cave near the rock when he was away. One day the weather suddenly changes, the surf slams the area, and... yup, one less princess. The warrior rushed back to the cave, but it was too late, he climbed the steep rock where he buried her in a tomb and then overcome with grief leapt to his death.

« Un endroit paradisiaque. L'hôtel a parfaitement respecté l'environnement de cette île très peu peuplée. Le service est à la hauteur du niveau d'étoile et 'les chambres sont grandes, belles et très bien équipées. Seul petit bémol sur l'île pas vraiment le,choix de restaurant il vous faut donc manger à l'hôtel et c'est loin d'être donné! »

« Le lit aurait pu etre plus large (queen au lieu de double), mais la chambre etait assez bien agencee et propre, avec refrigerateur et micro-onde. Probleme d'insonorisation, comme dans la plupart des hotels americains, ou plafond, sol et murs sont tellement peu epais qu'on entend les voisins du dessus et d'a cote. Autre cote desagreable; bien que le restaurant soit bien situe, en bordure de l'eau et face au coucher du soleil, il est aussi frequente par cinq ou six chats qui tournent autour des...

« La famille a adoré les piscines et la plage. L’endroit est idéal pour la plongée en apnée, nous avons vu plusieurs poissons et des tortues juste en face de l’hôtel. Le condo était très grand avec une très belle terrasse. La cuisine était fonctionnelle (mais aucun ingrédient de base n’était fourni). Les chambres étaient de grande qualité et le personnel réceptif et accueillant. »

Le prix du parking est exagéré : plus de 47 $ par jour (25 $ + 22 $ de taxes) sans le valet et sans possibilité de se garer ailleurs qu’à l’hôtel... Sinon personnel de service agréable et disponible »

« Easy communication, clean , nice space. Appreciated that I could check in a bit earlier and do the pre checkin . I didnt like the busy-ness of the street and recommend staying on the beachside part of hotel for a longer stay but this worked out well for the one night i needed. »

« It was a very nice unit. Had all that we needed for a great stay. Loved sitting on the patio and looking out on the water. And walking along the water in the mornings and seeing turtles feeding off the rocks. Beach at the end of the street was a bonus. Kei was great - responsive when we asked questions. Would definitely consider staying here again. »
