"Great location and really nice, spacious and clean rooms. This was a great place to stay for exploring Newcastle and also very comfortable and cozy. Staff are excellent too, and the free morning coffee and croissant are a nice perk!"

"I stayed here previously last year but since then, standards of cleanliness and general upkeep seem to have fallen.
In the bedroom, three of four pillows on the bed had brown marks on them; the dressing table chair had a long brown streaky stain on it (looked like 💩) and in the bathroom, there was no rubber seal on the bottom of the glass shower screen, so water poured out onto the floor when showering. Other minor cosmetic issues included missing tiles under the bathroom sink, and scuffs on...

"Great location, affordable apartment for a large group. Metro link directly outside the door to connect you to Newcastle. Apartment in great condition and would recommend this place.
Check in was difficult as you need to communicate with host over phone to retrieve the code to access the key but apart from that it was great.
Security deposit usually scares me from booking with places as i have been scammed before but rest assured there is no scamming here, with the host very kind when spoke...

I (we) have never stayed in a castle before so randomly coming across thought why not as it was on par with staying in Durham. We stayed in the main castle rather than the wing rooms. Felt appropriately castle like. Clean. High quality establishment. Uber from the local train station (one stop from Durham) cost 5 pounds. Back to Durham in the morning from there was about 16 or so. We ate evening meal at the bar (had fish&chips, small portion fairly good quality) and a few drinks that were...

We arrived at the Beamish Park Hotel after being involved in a accident (no injury) but with a non drivable hired car. The staff greated us with empathy and with a couple of platter of sandwichs and drinks. It was so refreshing and welcoming since we were exhausted from the ordeal.

I had a lovely 4 night stay at the Beamish Hall. The staff welcomed me and were there for my needs. My room was beautiful and spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was just right. Drinks and meals at the Stables restaurant and its courtyard were lovely!

What a wonderful hotel!! Apparently it is classified as a bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and the furnishings were extremely clean and new. The only drawback was that breakfast was only served for one hour in the morning. But make sure that you are willing to take the bus to get to Newcastle as this hotel is in blaydon, 20 minutes away from Newcastles city central.

I have been staying at the Lemonfield for over 30 years through a few different owners. Each owner has made updates and rooms are now en-suite. One of the best features was the breakfast, but this now has a charge and I decided not to try it. The location is great, close to the sea( some rooms having a view) with local shops, pubs and cafes all within walking distance.

Arrived tired on train from London, met by welcoming, friendly staff, in nicely appointed hotel in the old village of Whickham, near Newcastle. No record of reservation, or payment, on the hotel books (although Expedia had sent me an email confirming payment before we left Canada). Still have this to sort out, could be Expedia error. To compensate, the staff only charged me the discounted rate on the Expedia confirmation, and in addition upgraded us to deluxe room (instead of standard...
