We really appreciated our stay and want to start by saying the space itself is beautiful. The property is very private and peaceful, the fireplace was wonderful, and the heat/AC worked great. The water pressure was excellent and the kitchen was nicely set up and mostly well stocked with what we needed. Overall, we enjoyed being there.The main area for improvement would be host presence and overall property upkeep. The home felt a bit unattended at times. There was leftover trash in the outdoor bins from previous guests, which unfortunately attracted a bear on our first night. A bear got into the trash and created a mess on the property, which was obviously out of our control but stressful to deal with. Ensuring trash is fully cleared between guests would make a big difference, especially in a wildlife-prone area.We also noticed some general maintenance items that, if addressed, would elevate the experience to match the price point — some cobwebs and areas where cleanliness could be improved, a sign hanging unscrewed from the house, and a broken garage door. None of these individually ruined our stay, but together they contributed to the property feeling a little less cared for than expected.
