"The room was comfortable and clean. The pool area is also well-maintained and very nice. My family refused to enter the lobby/casino area because of cigarette smoke smell but we were able to avoid it by walking around the outside of the building to a side door so not a huge issue."

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

8/10 Good
"For what ever reason, on a Sunday, check-in was 45 min. All hands were on deck, but the line was ridiculous. And on that note, Valet was just as bad. My preference on mattresses is to the hard side, so if you like soft the bed is for you. There was a fridge in the room which was a huge plus to keep our beverages cold. The bathroom could have fit into half of the actual room due to a soaking tub. Again, I'm not a bath person so if you are this is for you. I would have preffered more room room.... Overall, it was clean and quiet and really no complaints other than my preferences. Its a small casino which we like, easy to navigate, and you need a room key to make the elevator run, which to me a great safety feature. We'd stay again if there was someone at the PH Live we wanted to see."

"We had great service from the moment we stepped out of the cab and it didn't stop until we left for the airport! Our room was immaculate, the casino area, elevators, pool and restaurants are all next level and staff is superb."

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

10/10 Excellent
"I travel to Vegas on business about 3 times a year, and the Venetian is absolutely the best place I've stayed, however read to the end for the caveat. The recent update was very successfully executed, every room is a suite with plenty of space to stretch out, nicely decorated and modern. The dining options at the Venetian are the best on the strip, if you don't ever want to leave the property you don't need to. The food court alone could serve your needs, and I HIGHLY recommend Dandelion Chocolate located near the front desk for a treat. One warning: the snack box and the liquor refrigerator have invisible sensors if anything is lifted out. My husband moved two bottles of water to the side as they were slightly blocking the TV and we were automatically charged $14 for each one. I only noticed because I was checking the billing option on the television and saw the charges. As we had only been in the room for 45 minutes I couldn't imagine what the charges were for and went to the front desk. They explained and removed the charges immediately. I would guess many people don't even notice the extra charges and probably check out unawares."
