"Our third time here and as always it was a great experience. The cottage is so convenient, comfortable , and well stocked. Perfect launchpad for lake land adventures. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Andrea couldn’t be a kinder host."
"What a gem! I was so sad to leave the property! Everyone was so charming, the facilities were stunning and the art pieces surrounding the property were magical! Marco was the first person we met on a rainy night and he could not have been more gracious!
We stayed in one of the cottages and it was such a beautiful ambiance! I will recommend this property to everyone!
I would love to see just a few more dining options rather than only Michelin-level opportunities since you never want to...
"Super friendly and quick check in. Prompt room change when the room key wasn't working. Excellent spa facilities - notably the thermal pool. Good range of breakfast options (the pancakes from the kitchen order options were fab). Good quality food for evening meal in the dining room. The location speaks for itself - fantastic.

"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good.
Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD
We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner.
Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous.
Wouldn’t stay here again ."
"It is a beautiful hotel and all the staff was fantastic!! The room was amazing!
Fiona at the front desk went out of her way to welcome us. A perfect person to start our hotel stay. Very informative and welcoming!
Our dinner and breakfast host Manjo (I probably have spelled his name wrong) was GREAT! My wife has a dairy intolerance and he made sure at night everything was dairy free and he remembered the next morning.
All the staff who waited on us we very pleasant, smiling and friendly. You...

"Really enjoyed this weekend away. We had a family room which had 2 singles and a double, it was a very large room with gorgeous high ceiling and window overlooking the road quiet location. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. Enjoyed having access to the pool which the kids loved. Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all hot which is sometimes missing in some venues.
Breakfast was buffet and no complaints.
I would say my only gripe was the kids menu in the restaurants, its £15 for 2 courses which for us is expensive when you have multiple children and out of touch to other restaurants. Our children shared a meal as we new they wouldnt of finished 1 each, it just felt a rip off to be honest when they had such reasonable offers on the adult menu. We had the 4 tapas deal which felt really good value so it was shame the kids meal deal was so much.
We would still stay here again "

"We had a lovely night here. The hotel is really clean with lots of character & beautiful gardens. Our room was cosy, the bed was really comfy & the shower was hot! Plenty of teas& coffees to use & good quality toiletries too.
Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice of hot food cooked to order & a good assortment of cereals., yogurts & top quality fresh fruits. Thecstaff were all very friendly & helpful.
It was a 5 minute walk into Bowness or the lake.
Can definitely recommend this hotel.

"The room was a executive double , the room was a great size with a large very comfy bed . The bathroom was massive and felt very luxurious . The bedroom itself was a little tired , the carpet a little thin though it was spotlessly clean .
Good value for money will use again for sure . "
