"It is a lovely location, but could doing with a few property maintenance upgrades.
Did have a lovely meal and the wine was nice.
Would have been nice to have been told there were 2 large weddings, before we arrived. We wanted to relax on the morning of our departure as checkout is at 12, but was impossible with wedding guests everywhere.
Had a lovely tour of the vineyard which we would recommend"

"Lovely rural authentic hotel in Alpujarra. Good base for exploring. Excellent service - thank you Victor. Nice breakfast to start your day. Coffee, tea, bar and snacks available. No dinner available but bar/restaurant across the street and two small restaurants a short walk away. Quiet and peaceful location. Parking just outside hotel. "

Incredible experience. Wake up with a view to the mountain. Take a rinse in the glass shower while your partner is watching. Take a stroll in the winery with a pleasant mountain breeze.
The service was fast and kind.
We loved it.
20 min drive to downtown Granada / Alhambra.

This hotel is a gem. Off the beaten path. Beautiful buildings and the gardens and pool were beautiful. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced.
The twin beds were too short. Both of our feet hung off the end.
While dining, the waitress who was from England was unfriendly and did not acknowledge us when we said gracios. She also did our check out and did not say thank you for staying with us, goodbye, have a good day…. I said goodbye, have a good day, so she finally...

Fantastic hotel. Located on a hilly city, it overlooks the valley where Granada is located offering a splendid view. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious and cozy. Mine had a private balcony. The main terrasse has a pool and plenty of seating options. They offer a varied breakfast and several dining options. I will remember this stay for my entire life so much I enjoyed it.

We stayed 2night, it was quiet seaside hotel. All the staff were very kind and welcoming. No facilities in the hotel, just sleep, eat, swimming in the sea, little walk, and cat watching. Breakfast was delicious with simple order and they made best sunny side up egg.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service!! From the time of booking right up to our departure the service was outstanding! The room was quiet and cozy, as per the photos but far better in person! The breakfast was fresh and homemade and was absolutely delicious. I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy this hotel! One thing to note is that although it’s just a quick walk to the beach and restaurants, you do need to cross a busy road to access that route. No biggie, but something to be aware of if...

The location of the hotel is perfect. Walkable distance from Alhambra and all the cool markets/restaurants, and also the staff knew all the nearby interesting spots.
We we're even served in french ! Our native language. That was cool.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The staff was warm and friendly and the hotel was centrally located. Carlos, at the front desk, helped make our stay memorable!! My husband and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Nerja. Carlos helped us make car rental arrangements and even recommended an excellent lunch place by the beach.

Hotel Puerta de Nerja was perfect for our stay!
Ideally located, beautifully maintained, and very well managed.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with an amazing bathroom and an excellent bed. Despite the local festival taking place during our visit, outside noise was barely noticeable at night, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.
The only minor downside was that our room was on the first floor, right next to reception and the lift, so we could occasionally hear noise from other...

The best area to stay in La Loma is Úbeda, particularly its historic centre.
Úbeda's historic centre is the heart of the region and a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its stunning Renaissance architecture. The area is very walkable, with many of its key sights, like the Vázquez de Molina Square, the Santa María de los Reales Alcázares, and the Palacio del Deán Ortega, all within a short stroll of each other. You'll find a good selection of quality restaurants and artisan shops located along its narrow, winding streets.
For couples looking for a romantic and culturally rich getaway, the historic centre of Úbeda is ideal. You can enjoy leisurely walks, discover hidden courtyards, and dine in establishments offering traditional Andalusian cuisine. Many hotels here are housed in beautifully restored historic buildings, offering a unique and authentic experience.
Families travelling with older children who appreciate history and culture will also find Úbeda's historic centre a fantastic base. The compact nature of the area makes it easy to explore on foot, and the impressive monuments provide a captivating backdrop for learning about Spain's Renaissance period.
When is the best time to go to La Loma?
The best time to visit La Loma is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.
These periods offer pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and historic towns without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the countryside lush and green, particularly in spring, with wildflowers in bloom, which is lovely for couples looking for scenic walks and outdoor dining.
Travel in July and August is also an option, particularly for families planning a summer holiday. While temperatures can be quite high, often exceeding 30°C, the longer daylight hours allow for extended evenings. Many accommodations have swimming pools, and you'll find plenty of opportunities for refreshing dips in local rivers or reservoirs.
