We thought the ryokan dinner was included in the room rate but it was not. There was no restaurant in the hotel, although it looks like there used to be. Very beautiful and clean grounds, gardens. Our room had a small garden and outdoor onsen tub with water from the hot springs. The breakfast was fantastic, very authentic Japanese foods. One thing I would note is to be sure of your travels plans as it is remote and difficult to get to by public transit, and the shuttle must be reserved in advance and only runs limited hours. Additionally, there is no food or bar as advertised on Expedia. Please make sure to make meal reservations in advance as they will not accommodate same day requests, and there is NO option for food within or around the hotel.
