"This was an amazing and unique experience in the middle of the desert. The camel ride and the SUV tour was worth it . I had tea in the nomads tent ,visited the old mines , listening to a life Gnawa show and lunch at Nora restaurant than camel ride back to camp .The host Zaid was the best host ever , he picked us upon arrival at 2am and drove us to camp than serve us a full dinner course especially made for us .I want to thank Zaid ,Mohamed and Fatima for making our visit so special . "

"The photos are simply untrue. The camp is in poor condition - broken chairs & lanterns; blankets thrown about; garbage strewn here & there. There is only one outlet in each tent and electricity was not always available. We had less than five minutes of hot water over 48 hours. Often one teenager was the only staff on site, and we had to communicate using Google translate, as the adults simply were not around. Hamid did his best to keep things lively, but he’s working with very little. I would not recommend this camp to anyone - and I’ve been to others, so this is not a review in isolation. The owner Albert (who is apparently back in Spain) told us we would be picked up at a location 10 kms from the place his staff were waiting. They couldn’t be bothered to come get us and we could not find the site on Google Maps. Eventually we found each other, but this is one example of poor service and communication. Thankfully our 4x4 guide Barack saved this trip by making our tour memorable. The rest was simply disappointing all around. Go elsewhere and get a real camp experience…"

"We randomly found this place and it blew our mind. It is so beautifully designed, so well appointed and above all clean. It is a new property and they have done a spectacular job on every level. The finish work and detail is incredible and the cleanest kitchen ever turning out delicious homemade food. I even got a tangine cooking lesson. The location is superb and they can arrange all activities in the dunes easily. Hmed and his team were so hospitable, we felt like family from the moment we walked in the door. This is the real Morroco! Would go back in heartbeat!"

"We loved our stay it is much better than the pictures show, staff was so friendly and accommodating that we extended our stay for two more nights. We also took a camel excursion over night and they let us keep our bags in our room for free one night while away. I would recommend this to my family and friends to visit. What a view of the Dunes from the pools and roof top deck!!"

"Staying at Royal Luxury Camps was nothing short of a dream. It was above and beyond expectation with respect to ambiance, customer service, and overall experience. First we were met by Hafid, who is in ancredibly kind and knowledgeable man with respect to the desert and surrounding cities. He was flexible with arrival times, gave us free tea after our long drive, and then toured us into the desert at sunset, explaining various Berber traditions along the way. We were led to a beautiful camp, incredibly quiet, well maintained, with running water for showers and toileting, as well as a central rest area around a beautiful camp fire. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was provided on the site, flexible to our schedule whenever we asked, and prepared on site by incredible cooking staff (by the lovely Farid who cooks for entire wedding parties). Our room was exactly as advertised, very clean and comfortable, with no bugs (despite many bugs coming out at night in the desert). The room is hot during the day, but at night very comfortable. There were many beautiful dining areas mounted on the dunes, so as to enjoy the sunset or sunrise with meals and tea. There is a telescope and tam tam drums to enjoy using at night as well. You are free to walk about the camp, and even beyond into the desert, just careful to not get lost! Hafid will personally come find you should you run into trouble (as we did one night coming back from a sunset walk). Overall an unforgettable experience. Thank you."
