Keene Vacation Packages

This hotel recently joined a new hotel group and is about to undergo a major refresh, which it definitely needs. My room looked sad -- no art on the walls, dull and dated decor, broken window shades, bathroom very clean but also dated. The restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday, so there were no amenities available when I stayed there on a Sunday. The continental breakfast was unacceptable -- very small selection of sad looking pastries that looked like they came from the supermarket and hot water for tea that was not hot at all. And the dining area was almost dark. On the positive side, the person at the front desk was extremely helpful when we checked in and accommodated our surprise request to check in early.

Check-in was easy and friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom spotless and comfortable. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was perfect. Staff was caring and helpful led by the energetic and charming Sarah. We would not hesitate to stay there on our next visit to the area.

Pretty well kept grounds. So close to all.

The rooms need to be cleaned better, the room needs new wallpaper, maybe new chairs in the room and add an ottoman. For the price I expect the bar and restaurant open every night. Plus not closed for a private party on another night.
